Cornering Tips That Shaved Seconds Off My Neon Drift Times

Neon Drift Rally rewards clean lines more than raw throttle. For weeks I was mashing the drift button into every corner and wondering why my times plateaued. The fix was embarrassingly simple: brake earlier and drift less.

The trick is to only initiate a drift when the corner actually demands it. On gentle bends, a light lift off the throttle keeps you faster than a full slide. Save your drifts for the tight hairpins where you need the angle.

Switching to tap steering helped me more than any car upgrade. It gives finer control, and once the muscle memory settles, you'll feel exactly when to tuck into the apex. Tilt is fun but twitchy on bumpy tracks.

Finally, learn one track inside out before chasing times on others. Knowing where the corners come lets you set up early, and that anticipation is where the real seconds live.
